WHOLE WHEAT BUNS

1 cup and 3 tbs warm water
1/4 cup sugar or molasses (Agave or, mix_optional)
1/3 cup safflower oil
2 tbs yeast
2 tsp salt
1 egg (beaten)
3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
350 degrees for 10 minutes
Use a bread maker on "dough setting," to knead then take out and bake in over. I don't like the way they bake a loaf nor the tastes and most are Teflon. I bought one at a thrift store, sent for directions from its manufacture. A good buy for baking just for this feature alone.
(Follow your own yeast directions, some don't need 2 tbs and are quick action i.e.) I prefer the dark roll when adding molasses, but not necessary.
