BURNS: -Cold water until the pain stops and the area is cooled.Vitamin E oil or
Comfrey - (I raise myself) raw, bruised, and added to small amount of water in blender and made into a poultice
Aloe Vera -bruised and put directly on burn
Powdered comfrey or goldenseal
ARTHRITIS -mild food diet (explained later)
Approx. 1 quart carrot juice and 1 quart celery juice raw for 2 weeks, then 1 pint daily 1/2 carrot and 1/2 celery until arthritis is gone.

Waffle Mix (PanCake Mix)

New research studies show balanced complex carb will not make us gain weight. Hot Cake or Waffle Mix
Mix and store in covered container:
Before storing, freeze the whole mix for 24 hours in your freezer to kill any future weevils etc. This recipe has plenty of fiber.

8 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup wheat germ, (or, another grains etc.)
1 cup bran (or, another flour like coconut flour etc.\
3 cups powder milk (you can skip and add in milk as the cakes are made fresh. Soy milk, nut milks i.e)
4 tsp. Salt
8 tsp. Baking powders
To Serve: Blend in blender; 1 cup dry mix above, (1 or more TBS vinegar, yogurt or buttermilk,
2 eggs, (*)
1 ½ cups water.) (or just add in your milk instead with 2 Tbs of oil if for waffles)
Mix in blender. Cook as hotcakes or waffles. Serves 2-3. Batter is thin.
Options: (fruit)
MAPLE SYRUP
4 cups sugar
2 ½ cups water
Boil 3 minutes, remove from heat and add 1 tsp. Maple extract and 1 tsp. Vanilla. Makes almost one quart. Heat before serving
Bob's Red Mill (brand) has a whole ground Flaxseed Meal that rich in fiber, lignans and omega-e fats and will make this so much better if added in the recipe or in the end when making the Waffles add two Tbs.
I hate health food store mixes, because of the added corn meal, and they are not fresh. You can grind and make up this mix for later use. If you do buy their expensive mixes, freeze them in a plastic sack over night and they will last longer than the expiration date with never have a weevil.

ALL MULTIPURPOSE MIX

When using whole-wheat flour in any of your favorite cake recipes. Use 7/8 cup sifted whole-wheat flour will equal 1 cup sifted white flour. You can also add 1 tsp more baking powder and 1 more egg to the recipe. For lighter cakes use water rather than milk. And use soft spring ww rather than winter ww. (Called baker's ww sometimes) Other home made mixes to have on hand. They are handy and adaptable to your style of flour and sugars i.e.
Quick bread
6 cups fine WW flour
2 cups soy flour (frozen soy beans)
1 3/4 Tb salt
1/3 cup baking powder
1-cup non-instant powdered milk
3/4 cup wheat germ
Mix and stir fluffing as you stir
Store in frig or freezer
To use just substitute this mix for the amount of flour called for in any quick bread recipe. Omit the salt and baking powder or soda. (You don't need soda even if sour milk or buttermilk is used) Since flours have different moisture contents, check the batter. Use in muffins, quick breads, cookies, cakes, etc.

Here's a Basic ALL Multipurpose Mix
ALL Multipurpose Mix
In large bowl or pan stir, then sift until well mixed,
9 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/3 cup double-actions baking powders (NO ALUM)
1 cup and 2 tablespoons dry skim milk powder
4 teaspoons salt
Then cut the fat into flour mixture until it resembles coarse cornmeal.
1 3/4 cups vegetable shortening, 1 cup lard, liquid oil, or leavens
When mix is made with vegetable shortening, it may be stored at room temperature for up to six weeks or so.
Yield: 13 cups of mix
From the Multipurpose mix
Biscuits
Add liquid to mix and stir 20-25 times 2 cups mix and 1/2 cup water. Knead gently on floured board. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in hot oven 350 - about 12 minutes. Yields 12-14 biscuits.
Variations; add to dry ingredients 1/4 minces crispy cooked veggie bacon, or, 1/3 cup grated sharp cheese, or, 1 teaspoon orange rind, or, 1-2 t. sugar and 1/2 cup orange juice (omit water), or, 1-2 teaspoons grated onion or, 1/3 cup raisins and 1 T. sugar with 1 t. of cinnamon which is optional. Add in Bob's Red Mill whole ground Flaxseed meal will add fiber and omega-3 fats, and is a egg substitute.
Serve with meat stews or use as topping for meat pies.
Some suggestion on using the recipe are;
Fritters
Use 2 cups of M.P. mix with 2/3 c milk or water and 1 egg slightly beaten. Then stir into batter 2 cups fruit, or cooked vegetables (bite-sized or smaller)
Drop by small teaspoonful into hot oil (360). Fry and turn until golden brown on each side. Drain, and serve hot with maple syrup, honey, powdered sugar or jam. Yields: about 2 dozen.
Waffles or Griddlecakes
Use 2 cups of M.P. mix and 1 teaspoon of honey. Or, sugar with 2 cups water, little more if using WW. Yields 16 cakes (4 in. size) or 4 small waffles.
Another: Quick Mix
The reason I add it is because it make up in a smaller batch that the rest, and good for singles or smaller families.
Quick Mix
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 c. nonfat dry milk (some of this can be powdered butter milk)
1 1/8 cup shortening
1. In a large bowl sift all dry ingredients.
2. Mix with food chopper or such, cut in shortening until evenly distributed. (I've done this with just my hands too) Mixture will resemble cornmeal.
3. Put in airtight container.
4. Label and store in cool dry place.
5. Use with in 10 - 12 weeks. (As you would any stored mix)
6. Use as you would the bisquick mix.
7. Yields 6 1/2 cups

CRAPES

This makes up to nice healthy desserts or, main dish with cream sauces and veggies. Add them to your 12 repertoires. These are twelve basic meals family’s serves over and over. It’s another good way to use fruits and vegetables.
Crespelle Crepes
3 eggs
1/4 cup flour
Pinch of salt
1 cup of water
1/2 tbs. olive oil
2 tbs. melted butter
1 tbs sugar optional
Fillings:
Fresh mashed or cut up fruit, strawberries and bananas or raspberries, pears and cherries, oranges, i.e. Fresh whipped cream with a little sweetener. *If you have powdered sugar add to the top, or grated chocolate. (Add natural flavors also and puddings) Serves 4
Vegetables with tofu and a white sauce combo's
Breakfast ideas with eggs can make nice fillings
Cool tuna salad or cream tuna
To make Crespelle (crepes)
Sift the flour with a pinch of salt. Break eggs into a bowl and whisk. Add flour gradually, whisking all the time, until the mixture is smooth. Stir in water and mix the oil in well. Cover bowl with a damp cloth, and leave in a cool place for 30 minutes. Heat in a crepe pan or a 7-inch frying pan. Grease lightly with melted butter, and put a good tablespoon of batter in the center. Roll the pan to coat the surface evenly; Fry until crepes are brown on the underside. Loosen edge with a spatula; turn over and brown on the other side. Stack and wrap in a clean cloth until needed. (They can be frozen between wax paper)

NO BAKE CHEESE CAKE

No Bake Tropical Cheesecake
Generally speaking, I don't do cheesecake, but I will make an exception to this one because it is healthy and very good and easy! The cream cheese is not baked so not to lose the “probiotic's” properties of the cream cheese. And it isn’t over done with sweetness like the store brands.
First;
1 Tb. of Knox Unflavored Gelatin with 1/4 cup of water and set aside
Soften gelatin in water in small saucepan; let stand 1 minute. Cook on low heat 5 minutes or just until gelatin is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
Second;
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) Cream Cheese
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. grated lime peel
1/4 cup line juice
Few drop green food coloring or green Jell-O, enough to turn green. All are optional.
One, 8 oz. Cool Whip Topping, thawed
Beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer on medium until well blended. Add dissolved gelatin, lime peel, juice and food coloring; mix well. Gently stir in whipped topping; pour over crust.
The Bottom Crust
Did you know coconut is an ant fungal? Here's a recipe for the bottom layer. You can also buy a gram cracker crust or make one.
1 cup shredded coconut (fresh as possible)
2 Tb flour
2 Tb organic no hormonal butter or margarine melted
Mix coconut, flour and butter. Press firmly onto bottom of 9 in spring form pan. Bake at 350 for about 12-15 min. or until very lightly brown. (Watch)
Refrigerate several hours or until firm. When ready to serve, run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake and remove rim of pan. Makes 12 servings.
* To soften cream cheese, place completely unwrapped packages of cream cheese and set out to soften. To heat in microwave defeats the purpose of this recipe, it needs to be active, alive.

*I just buy a gram cracker crust.
This will be a recipe you'll not find and want to keep.

VEGETARIAN POP STICKERS

Veggie Pop Stickers (USE ORGANICALLY GROWN OR GARDEN GROWN VEGGIES
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, green or leek, cleaned and thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 head Napa cabbage, finely shredded (can sub. other cabbages)
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 medium carrot, grated very fine
24 wonton wrappers
Asian Dipping Sauce, recipe follows or just use your own sauces, like a fish sauce.
Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the leeks and garlic and cook until leeks begin to soften, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add the cabbage, vinegar, soy sauce, and ginger and cook, stirring, until cabbage is soft, about 3 to 4 minutes more. Remove from the heat and stir in the carrot. Allow the filling to cool. It's possible to not pre-cook the above (except leeks). Just chop, mix, and transfer to the cabbage mixture.
Transfer cabbage mixture to a mixing bowl and work together until fully incorporated. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.
To make the pot stickers, lay a wonton wrapper on the work surface and put about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Dip your finger in a little water and wet the edges of the wonton wrapper; this will help the pot sticker seal when cooking. Bring the outside edges of the wonton wrapper together over the filling and press it together to form a pouch. Continue with the remaining wrappers and filling. (Read direction on wonton wrappers.)
To cook the pot stickers, heat the remaining oil in a very large skillet over high heat. Place the entire pot stickers upright in the pan and cook, without disturbing them, until browned on the bottom, about 1 to 2 minutes.
THEN, Add 1/2 cup water to the pan and immediately cover. Allow the pot stickers to steam for about 3 minutes, and then remove the skillet lid. Continue cooking until the water is completely evaporated.
Transfer to a platter and serve with a dipping sauce.
Asian Dipping Sauce:
1/4 cup light soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1/2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil (or good mono oil)
1/2 lemon, zest ed
Stir all ingredients together in a small bowl until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Yield: about 1/3 cup
Use my Wonton recipe for pot sticker (especially any left-over which can be frozen and later used here). They are easy and very good exchange. Add the bean threads if available it makes them so light.
Note: you can add fish, tofu, other meat substitutes or LIGHT meat to most of these recipes but if you do make sure the meat is organically grown and fed. (Grass fed). Of course they will not be Veggie Pot Stickers!

EASY CAULIFLOWER SALAD

Actually this is one of my favorite recipes and can become one of your healthiest stables too. This is more a method because it involves the size of the cauliflower. And, too, if you can easily stick a fork and the cauliflower and it breaks apart too easily, or it smells of sulfur you’ve cooked it too far. After cooking it several times you'll get the idea. It's worth adding the recipe to your families diet.
This vegetable is sometimes called the world's healthiest food. If you want to keep healthy you need to have some good basic nutritious recipes, especially in the cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli family (their are others in this family too). Use them for three generations and see if you family have fewer cancers in the family. My daughter in law don't like these three and I do worry, for the generations on down the line, what will happen to my grand children's health and their children’s. It takes three -- four generations for the results to show up. I was raised my southern cooking from my mother and grandmother used cabbage a lot. None of this family had cancer that ate freely of these  sulfa vegetables.
If you don't like this particular recipe keep looking till you find ones you like that cook cauliflower differently till you know how to work and cook with this great vegetable. Do not drop cauliflower from your diet. Find "that" recipe! To show you the importance of this type of vegetable effect, an old remedy was to make a cauliflower poultices, putting it over the breast for the use when having breast cancer.
Don't over cook this family; it brings out the wrong chemicals, too much (Sulfurs), that stink up your kitchen. Then your family will says, ”I don’t like cauliflower” and miss out on this wonderful flower.
Cauliflower has 20 mg. of calcium, 11 mg. of magnesium, 40-mg. phosphorus and 176 mg. of potassium. It helps in removing nicotine out of the system, because of the carotenoids and organo sulfurs aids in some cancers prevention, osteoporosis, gallstone prevention, reduces premenstrual symptoms, cholesterol, beats "Father Time", and help in the regulation of diabetes.
These are reasons to add a cauliflower recipe here. Eat it raw add it to salads.

Cauliflower Salad
1/2 Cup Mayo salad dressing
2 teaspoons of mustard (or more Dijon mustard)
Fresh Lemon juice (to taste)
Mix all three liquids together

Presentation is everything

Cut cauliflower tough stems off and keep its small flowers for evenly cooking and looks.
 Do not chop them up leaving them whole. Steam flowers till just tender (You can loose the effects of the recipe right here. Don’t over-cook no more than 6-10 minutes?).
 Some of the cooking time can be spent by turning the heat off after boiling 3-4 minutes (depends on the size of the flowers) and letting it set in the water under a lid. Keep in the nutrients and texture crisp and fresh. If you choose to quickly cook till tender and shock in cold water will work too.
Save cauliflower left-overs for veg. stock.
Cool, drain and strain all the water out and dry in a colander.
Then add dressing, all three ingredients. (If you like dill sprinkle in for color)
Toss with the above three ingredients and marinate over night or 3-4 hours.
*Note: you may have to adjust the ingredients a little because of the sizes of the cauliflower and steaming it to suit your tastes. I love this simple recipe, but not if I don't watch it and get too soggy and/or mushy. Just a knife that slips through it easily will do.

CHEESE PUFF APPETIZERS

CHEESE PUFFS ( Lets get back to simple basic cooking for the family wise, thrifty and more nutritious.) Their are other such recipes on Webs that have "egg" in the ingredients. This one doesn't need it.
½ lb. *Sharp or regular Cheddar grated cheese
1 cup sifted flour
¼ lb butter or margarine
1/8 tsp. Salt
Mix together then roll into balls about size of marble. Roll each ball in sesame seeds. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. These may be made ahead and the balls frozen and baked just before serving. Make them extra special by hiding a green olive (etc.) inside. You can also hide shrimp, bacon or other surprises too.
Grocery store snacks are full of chemicals, get your children busy in the kitchen making their own home made snack that will improve their health. When you train them once or twice on the method they'll get the idea to be on their own. This snack will level out their blood sugars for a longer period of time.
*Sharp cheese give this a better flavor such as in Macaroni and cheese.

BANANA NUT BREAD, and pesticides

Many teach and believe that fruit is safe from chemical (pesticides) harm (if they have a peel on them i.e) But this is just not so. ASK; What fertilizer is being used and does it have and form of pesticides or chemicals? What inorganic sprays have been used in the growing processes, storage and shipping ? If any inorganic matter (chemicals, etc.) hits the ground in which the fruit or vegetable has been grown it will be absorb in the water as it goes up into and through the plant. You can only wash off some of these chemical, and cutting the peel, but not this will not get the insides (meat) of water based plant! Don't be fooled, by ignorant propaganda's. If sick, stick to organically grown plants to be sure and safe.
Banana Nut Bread
4 ripe bananas, (mashed)
1 ½ cups brown sugar
3 Tbs milk
1 tsp salt
3 Tbs butter (margarine)
1 beaten egg
½ tsp soda
1 cup nut meat
Add mashed bananas, add to melted butter, egg, sugar and milk. (Honey_Guava can be sub. Taste the batter for the right amount.
Beat well, Sift together the dry ingredients, flour, baking powder and soda. Last minute add nuts. Bake at 350 for one hour. This makes 2 small loaves.

ZUCCHINI BREAD

Zucchini Bread
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar (taste batter and sweeten to taste)
3 eggs (beaten)
2 cups zucchini (grated)
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 cup sunflower oil
3 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp vanilla, or lemon, or almond etc
½ cup nut meat (chopped) (cranberries or chocolate can be subt.)
Bake 1 hour at 325

QUICK ORANGE BREAD

Quick Orange Loaf
Put all the following ingredients in blender except raisins.
First,
1 large orange (quartered)
¼ cup oil
Add;
2 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1 cup brown sugar
Add,
¾ cup hot water to the ¾ cup of raisins
1 egg
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
Bake at 375 or 350 for 40-45 minutes.
