VEGGIE CORN DOGS

Here's a semi made corn dog. I like the idea of buying the whole wheat pancake flour and using kosher, all beef, chicken, tofu hot dogs or cheese. When you do it yourself your in control of the calories and what's the best for your family's health. This link has all the photos of the process.

...........................
Veggie Corn Dogs
¾ cup of flour
¼ cup of cornmeal
1 Tbs. sugar (honey)
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 Tbs. graded onions
1 egg, beaten
½ cup milk
Fry in enough Sunflower oil to float, and in a small container just to fit the hot dog. (suggestion only)
Dash of salt
1 lb of veggie hot dog (dried and at room temperature) (Flour the outsides then shake off the extra flour.)
Mix dry ingredients, flour, cornmeal, sugar, mustard and onion. Combine liquids, egg and milk and roll franks in dough. Deep fry in Saffron oil till golden brown.
Hint: Cut franks into bite size pieces to easily work with and to eat.
*Target stores have stopped carrying them for vegetarians. You can make them so much cheaper anyways.
Note: Tofu is a derivative of soybeans and isn't in its "natural state," using organic soy franks will be healthier.
