Popcorn Balls (A rare treat, easy, cheap and quick tastily snack for holiday treats) (Kettle Corn) recipe.
Cheat on fiber treat food once or twice a yr. (?) makes 12 pc balls.

These are quick and easy popcorn balls, taste like Carmel popcorn, but they do have corn syrup in them. (Once a year?) My daughter just called me and wanted this recipe again. She's going to cook the honey (in part/place of dark Karo (corn syrup) to a soft ball stage and let me know. Her grandmother did but she didn't let me have the exact amounts i.e.) ! This was my children's favorite recipe made once a year. It has lots of fiber and more nuts raisins etc can be added.
Quickest, Easiest Popcorn Balls Recipe
Popcorn abt 2qts. Salted lightly (less sugar ration recipe= more popcorn)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup organic butter (margarine /...too soft margarines add in too much water)
1/2 cup Karo (sub. organic blue Agave, or raw honey)
Boil about one minute.
Then pour over about a quart or two of white popcorn (or yellow).
Butter your hands and make into a ball when a bit cooled down.
Cautions: I use to make this recipe up all the time. Margarine's have changed since then and noticed they have added more water re-placing its missing oil; or, bit Boil longer or use butter. If you flatten and layer this recipe on a cookie sheet making it into Carmel corn. (speed this process using lower temperature's in oven.)
...............

Version 2: Use 1/2 pkg. of gum drops candies and press it all in a angel food cake pan turn over and pour out. Give as a birthday cake. *Add nuts, raisins, etc to the popcorn balls and press.
Or, add peanuts and/or raisins or cranberries i.e. Great for Halloween individually wrapped.
