SHORTBREAD WITH HONEY


Shortbread (Honey)           

¼ lb. butter or organic margarine

¼ cup honey or maple syrup

1 ½ to 2 cups pastry whole wheat flour

Cream butter and honey. Sift flour before adding to butter mixture (in ½ cup amounts) until dough forms a ball. Keep dough moist.  On lightly floured surface, roll out to 3/8 inch thick. Cut into shapes with floured cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees (Until lightly golden brown.
