Green Jell-O Festive Salads For The Holiday's
This Green Jell-O Festive Salad becomes a nutritional treat for any occasion but, especially for the holidays and special occasions. I make every year, and the recipes are broken down into two versions. This is the original and the other is the quick version. After making this festive green salad, you will know why we like green Jell-O in Utah. (You can use other colors like lemon but may not go with the theme of celery and lettuce that will never detect by Jell-O connoisseurs.) There are many version of this salad out there, but I like this one best of the ones I have tested. It has plenty of fiber and protein and is great when served under a salad leaf topped with special crackers about it. I have had it served to me for a desert at a girl’s get together. The first recipe is a smaller size and the latter is for a party size gathering. Use a large 9 x12 Pyrex dish or equivalent.
1 sm. pkg. of green Jell-O
1-cup hot water
1 pkg. organic cream cheese
1 cup finely chopped celery
1- 8 ounce can crushed pineapple
½ cup chopped walnuts
Small cool-whip
Topped it with about ½ cup of mini marshmallows (Very optional)
Dissolved Jell-O in hot water
To the hot Jell-O water dissolve the cut up cream cheese pieces and blend in with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add in the rest of the ingredients except the cool-whip
Refrigerate until all is cooled down completely but not set.
Then take out and stir in the cool-whip
Refrigerate and let set.
