And now there’s a new ways to kill fat. When the skin is cooled to between 32 and 50 degrees for at least a half an hour, fat actually crystallizes, expands, and destroys the cells that contain it. The skin is more resilient and doesn’t get injured. Nerves can be temporarily injured by the technique but they bounce back after a few months. The body cleans out the destroyed fat and two months later – voila! – less fat. With out surgery or even a needle. It’s a procedure called Zeltiq. It’s not in the US yet – but it will be soon.
