SPICY BARBECUED FRIES

Spicy Barbecued Fries (yields 4-6 servings)
1. Peel and cut 4 large russet or baking potatoes into 1/2 inch strips.
3.Arrange baking potatoes in a single layer in a 15 x 11 inch shallow baking dish.
3. Drizzle 3 Tbsp. olive oil over potatoes turning to coat evenly. (Safflower oil) You can put the potatoes in a plastic baggie and slosh them about too)
Combine in small bowl these ingredients.
4. 1/8 tsp sea salt, crushed oregano, onion salt, pepper and chili powder.
5. Sprinkle half the season mix over the potatoes
6. Bake over a medium high setting on the gas barbecue or grill for 15 minutes.
7. turn potatoes with spatula and sprinkle with the remaining seasoning mix.
8. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until tinder or brown i.e.
( Variation: use other spices, such as Lowery's Seasoning Salt, Paprika, i.e. I've just baked them when the Barbecue idea not in season.)
